Democracia é o governo do povo, pelo povo e para o povo. No entanto, sem a essência do amor incondicional, nada funciona. Para governar, é necessário dividir o povo, e isso se faz com desconfiança, soberba e, principalmente, desamor.

Por isso, não adianta falar de política se não temos um olhar cidadão—aquele que vê a cidade antes de si mesmo. Isso não significa amar os outros em primeiro lugar, pois seria hipocrisia. O amor próprio é essencial, mas precisamos estar sempre voltados para o coletivo, para todos.

Há um poder imenso em servir. Acredite: prosperidade não é riqueza, mas ter tudo o que precisamos na medida certa, sem falta nem desperdício. A ambição, quando equilibrada, é benéfica; mas, sem freios e respeito ao próximo, ela se perde.

Devemos estar sempre prontos para servir. Assim, cultivamos bons sentimentos, que atraem pessoas boas. Pessoas boas, por sua vez, atraem coisas e situações positivas. É como um efeito dominó, só que no sentido construtivo. Está mais do que na hora de mudarmos a nós mesmos para transformar o mundo.

Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people. However, without the essence of unconditional love, nothing works. In order to govern, it is necessary to divide the people, and this is done with distrust, arrogance and, above all, lack of love.

Therefore, there is no point in talking about politics if we do not have a civic perspective—one that sees the city before oneself. This does not mean loving others first, as that would be hypocritical. Self-love is essential, but we must always be focused on the collective, on everyone.

There is immense power in serving. Believe me: prosperity is not wealth, but having everything we need in the right measure, without lack or waste. Ambition, when balanced, is beneficial; but without restraint and respect for others, it is lost.

We must always be ready to serve. In this way, we cultivate good feelings, which attract good people. Good people, in turn, attract positive things and situations. It is like a domino effect, but in a constructive sense. It is high time we change ourselves to transform the world.
