A palavra, o ego e o sentido

A palavra, por si só — mouca — carece de sentido. Se eu dissesse, por exemplo, “ertsantlmi”, você entenderia? É claro que não. Essa palavra não está registrada em seu ego, não desperta nenhuma emoção, e você se vê perdido. Isso me leva a afirmar: tudo é mutável, porque o sentido das coisas pode ser transformado.

Se posso mudar o sentido de tudo, então posso dar a uma cadeira uma nova utilidade, um novo nome — e todos que a virem, conectados a essa nova realidade, passarão a compreender esse novo significado. Isso faz sentido para você?

Por isso, tudo o que tenho dito sobre a mudança interior está carregado de sentido espiritual. Afinal, toda nossa realidade nasce da alma, e é nela que o ego armazena suas informações. É por isso que tantos mestres insistem na dissolução do ego: ele é nossa âncora.

E a âncora, como sabemos, pode tanto ser segurança quanto limite — algo que, por vezes, nos impede de prosseguir em nossa evolução. A forma mais eficaz de fixar uma informação é ancorá-la a algo que tenha sentido para nós. Por exemplo: Ana gosta de futebol. Assim, o nome dela passa a estar ligado a um significado. E tudo aquilo que ganha sentido, transforma-se em aprendizado.

The word, the ego and the meaning

The word itself — mouca — has no meaning. If I said, for example, “ertsantlmi”, would you understand? Of course not. This word is not registered in your ego, it does not arouse any emotion, and you feel lost. This leads me to affirm: everything is changeable, because the meaning of things can be transformed.

If I can change the meaning of everything, then I can give a chair a new use, a new name — and everyone who sees it, connected to this new reality, will begin to understand this new meaning. Does this make sense to you?

That is why everything I have said about inner change is loaded with spiritual meaning. After all, all our reality is born from the soul, and it is there that the ego stores its information. This is why so many masters insist on the dissolution of the ego: it is our anchor.

And the anchor, as we know, can be both security and a limit — something that, at times, prevents us from continuing in our evolution. The most effective way to retain information is to anchor it to something that makes sense to us. For example: Anna likes soccer. This way, her name becomes linked to a meaning. And everything that gains meaning becomes a learning experience.
