O Silêncio como Revolução: Libertar-se do Medo e do Ego

Se vivemos em uma democracia, onde o poder emana do povo, pelo povo e para o povo, por que então algumas pessoas se apropriam desse poder para benefício próprio, agindo contra os interesses coletivos, escravizando e tornando o povo refém daquilo que deveria libertá-lo? A resposta é simples: tudo se sustenta pelo medo e pela inércia que essas mesmas pessoas cultivam e alimentam.

Quando digo que o silêncio é a luz do mundo, quero expressar que, se desejamos reconhecer e verbalizar nosso próprio poder — e agir por meio dele contra aqueles que nos mantêm cativos — precisamos nos libertar dos pensamentos corrompidos, os mesmos que os opressores usam como armas contra nós.

Além do medo, o egoísmo é um dos maiores obstáculos da humanidade. A maioria pensa apenas em si, e isso inviabiliza qualquer esforço genuíno de construção de uma união social. Sempre há alguém tentando se beneficiar do poder popular, e o povo, por comodidade, acaba permitindo ser dominado.

O povo é subjugado por forças individuais, que só se tornam verdadeiramente poderosas quando se unem como uma colmeia de abelhas — todos em sintonia, lutando por um mesmo ideal. Nosso maior inimigo é o ego. Ele nos aprisiona no medo que o mundo nos impõe. Somente silenciando os pensamentos egóicos é que podemos nos libertar e vencer a nós mesmos.

Silence as Revolution: Freeing Yourself from Fear and Ego

If we live in a democracy, where power emanates from the people, by the people, and for the people, why then do some people appropriate this power for their own benefit, acting against collective interests, enslaving and holding the people hostage to that which should liberate them? The answer is simple: everything is sustained by the fear and inertia that these same people cultivate and feed.

When I say that silence is the light of the world, I mean that if we wish to recognize and express our own power—and act through it against those who hold us captive—we must free ourselves from corrupted thoughts, the same ones that oppressors use as weapons against us.

Besides fear, selfishness is one of humanity's greatest obstacles. Most people think only of themselves, and this hinders any genuine effort to build social unity. There is always someone trying to benefit from popular power, and the people, out of convenience, end up allowing themselves to be dominated.

The people are subjugated by individual forces, which only become truly powerful when they unite like a hive of bees—all in tune, fighting for a common ideal. Our greatest enemy is the ego. It imprisons us in the fear the world imposes on us. Only by silencing egoic thoughts can we free ourselves and conquer ourselves.
