Who Writes: The Hand, the Pen, or the Soul?
I ask in pure poetry: Who writes—the hand or the pen? Who creates—the soul or artificial intelligence? Many question the poet who uses instruments to write. But we humans use pens, pencils, or computers to express the deepest feelings that dwell within us.
As the song goes: The hand that plays the guitar is the same one that picks up the hoe and lights the cannon. The soul is the one who commands—the body merely executes. In this way, my friend, I write in many ways, with different styles and rhythms, but the inspiration is always mine: In song, in joy, and in the way of loving.
Those who use words to hurt are because they lack the essential: love in their hearts. Those who write without love will never be able to express what they feel, for feelings are the voice of the soul, which regurgitates and polishes in thought to, through the hand, give shape to the creation—beautiful or ugly—that is born.
When I feel the presence of inspiration, I run wherever it takes me, without hesitation. It is, to me, like a newborn child. After I create, I read and reread, to admire and feel the expression of that which came from me, but which no longer belongs to me. For what is born is already part of the world.
