The Violin of the Soul and the Illusion that Teaches
By Rick Steindorfer 🎻✨
My heart is a violin, with fine strings, a sensitive sound, that weeps notes in destiny and sings what hurts me and is a gift.
Oh God, why did I take so long to believe in what vibrates within me? I doubted what I saw in the world that touches me so.
I am part of a living egregore, a family I revere, in actions, words, a captive soul, in a love that is never empty.
Everything that seems to be mine is an illusion that teaches me to love. For it is in deception that God gave me the essence I can touch.
If I could, I would retrace the path with another feeling, another emotion. But I know that the past is my scroll, it sustains the present, it gives direction.
To change a single letter of what was is to erase the text that I am. Each pain, each step, each ox pulls the cart that carried me.
Words are the home of thought, and thought, the root of feeling. It is there that the soul comes to dwell, between existence and the future.
Death lurks, but does not frighten, it follows life, like the ground beneath. It is part of the cycle, a just shadow, that teaches us to live with faith.
