Pranayama, Movement, and Consciousness: The Art of Living Vigorously

I always tell people that it's essential to develop willpower. However, many react with resistance, perhaps because they're unaware of the value and the path that willpower takes in our daily lives—and how it can be exercised and directed by intention. Breathing, will, and intention: all aligned toward a single purpose.

I practice a pranayama exercise that stimulates all the organs in my body and sends blood to the brain. Yesterday, after the dance I do three times a week, a young woman told me she wants to reach my age with the same energy and stamina I display. But this didn't happen by chance—it's the result of continuous effort.

I do abdominal exercises with 1,300 movements. Some people stop just to watch me. This exercise complements my pranayama practice, which I maintain regularly, always seeking bodily balance and keeping my intention firm. This is how I develop, day after day.

If all of this seems overwhelming, perhaps you haven't yet recognized the value of your own existence. You may not be ready to fully live your soulful life. These exercises are a powerful practice, recommended for all who seek strength, power, and wisdom within themselves.
