Roberto Macedo: An Example of Light and Citizenship

Life passes quickly, we have no real notion of it. Today, a very dear person passed away, my cousin Roberto Macedo, who worked his entire life for good and strived to uphold social justice and civic love. He was a true example of citizenship and love for his neighbor.

Like his parents, Roberto was a remarkable human being, often facing great challenges and always bringing us a luminous expression, just like his parents, good people dedicated to social good and love. He is a true example of what we should do with this existence.

Living should be an example that we exist and show others how things should be done, to lead our society to a path of light, where there is peace among people of goodwill and love everywhere. I remember his words very well, from the times we were at the same table.

He once told me that there are two types of people: those who live for good and those who appropriate everything, believing that everything belongs to them. We should seek out the former as examples, so that love and citizenship may expand. He was a great man, may God rest his soul.
