Between Light and Shadow

Within us, there exists a god and a demon, who converse with us and with the world around us. We, who seek the light and aspire to ascend to higher spirituality, need to be fully aware of this duality. It is necessary to strive to strengthen the light and purify the shadow, always.

There is the path of wide gates, easy to travel, but which leads to the sins of the world. And there is also the path of narrow gates, which makes walking difficult, but refines the conscience and awakens to the essence of life and love.

I am always searching for the butterflies of light that shine around me like fireflies. They are lights of all colors, true portals that open to my essential soul. They show me that life is worth living intensely. When I see them, I fall silent and contemplate with love.

I try to practice smiling whenever I meet people, because a smile is light. It awakens in them the will and joy of living. The other day, I told someone that there is nothing more powerful for our development than laughter. It has the gift of purifying everything around us.
